• Here are ways you can support the work today:

  • Healthcare Career Fair:  We will be partnering with the CTE instructors at Liberty & Independence High Schools in Paso Robles to host a healthcare career fair on campus for approximately 200 to 210 students on April 29, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00pm on campus.  
    Please contact Alivia Shorter (ashorter@healthcareers.org) to host a table, provide demonstrations, or facilitate hands-on learning experiences. 

  • 2026 Summer Healthcare Internship Program Employer Host Sites: We need more organizations to commit to host an intern for the 10-week, full-time internship program. More than 136 applications have been received and screened from stellar college students (many of whom are bilingual Spanish speakers) with interest in various types of healthcare settings, including behavioral health. Students and host sites participate in a thorough screening and matching process to ensure a great fit between the intern and the host site. Last summer's pilot program was tremendously successful with both students and employers singing the praises of the experience. The deadline for participation is fast approaching, so don't miss out. Please contact Alivia Shorter (ashorter@healthcareers.org) today to discuss your organization's participation in this year's program.
